The Doosan Bears snapped a three-game losing skid with a 5–4 win over the KIA Tigers. Doosan beat KIA 5–4 on April 18, 2026, at Jamsil Stadium in Seoul in a Shinhan SOL KBO League regular-season game. The victory moved Doosan to 6–11–1.
Doosan struck first after taking advantage of an error. In the first inning, leadoff hitter Park Chan-ho drew a walk, stole second and advanced to third on Son Ah-seop’s grounder with one out. Park Jun-soon then struck out, and Yang Eui-ji hit a ground ball to the shortstop.
KIA shortstop Jared Dale failed to cleanly handle Yang’s grounder, allowing Park Chan-ho to score from third. In the third inning, Son Ah-seop doubled to left, and after two outs Kim Min-seok’s RBI single to right extended the lead to 2–0. KIA’s Kim Do-young later tied the game and put KIA ahead with his sixth homer of the season.
Doosan answered in the eighth inning when leadoff hitter Yang Eui-ji hit his second solo homer of the season off Kim Beom-su. Yun Tae-ho then quelled a bases-loaded, no-out jam in the top of the 10th without allowing a run, and Lee Yoo-chan closed out the game.
With the loss, KIA fell to 10–8.
