Nongshim RedForce coach Choi In-gyu assessed 'Diabl' Nam Dae-geun after the player's debut with the team.

Nongshim RedForce dropped a 0-2 decision to Kiwoom DRX in Round 2 of the 2026 LCK regular season at LoL Park LCK Arena in Jongno, Seoul, at 7:00 p.m. on May 2.

Nongshim inserted 'Diabl' Nam Dae-geun into the starting lineup immediately after the trade, but he failed to provide the spark the team needed. The loss extended their skid to four straight and dropped them to 4–6 on the season.

After the match, Choi said, "I'm disappointed to lose 0-2. I'm even more disappointed because our performance was poor."

On April 30, Nongshim sent 'Taeyun' Kim Tae-yun to BNK PIERX in a one-for-one swap that brought 'Diabl' Nam Dae-geun to the roster. Choi acknowledged the team hasn't had much time to build chemistry but stressed that wasn't the direct cause of the defeat. With limited time to mesh, the staff opted for a more straightforward ban-and-pick plan.

Choi added, "We aren't at the point where we can say we've gelled yet. He didn't look great, but he quietly made the plays he needed to."

'Rehends' Son Si-woo said, "We talked a lot about our viewpoints. We didn't have much prep time and we're still working to align. Our immediate goal is to build a strong bot lane with Nam Dae-geun."
