By Kang Tae-gu, Sports Today — Lee Jung-hoo (San Francisco Giants) was held hitless.

Lee Jung-hoo started in right field and batted fifth in the Giants' home game against the New York Mets at Oracle Corporation Park in San Francisco on April 4 (Korean time). He finished 0-for-4.

After going hitless against the Mets on April 3, Lee was unable to find a hit again in this game, dropping his season average to .148.

In his first plate appearance in the bottom of the second with one out and no one on, Lee squared up on a Nolan McLean sinker, but the left fielder made the catch for the out.

In the bottom of the fifth, again with one out and nobody on, Lee worked a full count and went after McLean's sweeper, grounding out to the pitcher.

With the Giants trailing 2-8 in the bottom of the seventh and one out with no runners, Lee faced reliever Huasca Brazoban and hit a ball right at the second baseman for the out.

Leading off the bottom of the ninth in his fourth plate appearance, Lee lifted a Luis Garcia sinker to center field and was retired on a routine flyout to end the game.

San Francisco fell to the Mets, 10-3.

The loss dropped the Giants to 3-5, while the Mets improved to 4-4.

San Francisco starter Tyler Mahle took the loss, allowing eight hits (two home runs) and five runs over five innings, with four strikeouts and two walks.

Mets starter Nolan McLean earned the win, going 5.1 innings while giving up one hit, striking out four, walking two and allowing two runs (one earned).
