The victory, in a BNK Financial 2025-2026 Women's Pro Basketball regular-season home game at Bucheon Indoor Gymnasium on March 28, was Hana Bank’s second straight. The club improved to 19-9 and remained in second place in the standings.
A loss would have handed the regular-season crown to first-place Cheongju KB Stars (20-9). Instead, Bucheon’s win preserved its hopes for the top spot.
BNK Sum stayed fourth at 13-16.
For Hana Bank, Jin An and Iijima Saki each poured in 15 points, while Kim Jeong-eun added nine.
BNK Sum got a big night from Kim Sonia, who finished with 24 points and eight rebounds. Lee So-hee scored 12, Park Hye-jin posted 11 points and 11 rebounds, and Ahn Hye-ji contributed 10, but their efforts came up short.
Bucheon jumped out early as Iijima and Go Seo-yeon steadily put points on the board, closing the first quarter up 28-17.
BNK responded behind Lee’s outside shooting and Kim’s work inside, rallying to take a 42-41 lead in the middle of the third quarter.
Bucheon swung the momentum back late in the third with baskets from Jin An and Park So-hee, regaining a 50-46 edge heading into the fourth. Jin An carried the charge in the final period and Bucheon held on for the 67-63 win.
In another matchup, Shinhan Bank edged Woori Bank 63-61.
Shinhan extended its winning streak to two games and moved to 8-21. Woori dropped its sixth straight and slipped to 12-17, sitting one game behind fourth-place BNK Sum—the postseason cutoff.
Shinhan’s Shin Ji-hyun led the way with 22 points. Mima Rui recorded 16 points and 10 rebounds, and Hong Yu-sun chipped in a 10-point, 11-rebound double-double.
Woori’s Kim Dan-bi battled with 24 points, nine rebounds and seven assists, but it wasn’t enough to halt the skid.
Meanwhile, third-place Yongin Samsung Life (14-14) has secured at least fourth place and clinched a spot in the postseason.
