KT beat Lotte 7-3 on the road at Sajik Stadium in Busan on the 7th in a 2026 Shinhan SOL KBO League game.
The victory was KT’s second straight, moving them to 7-2 and into a tie for first with the SSG Landers. Lotte dropped to 2-7 after a seventh consecutive loss, plummeting to last place.
KT starter Ko Young-pyo earned his first win of the season, working five strong innings: six hits allowed, nine strikeouts, two walks and one run surrendered. Oh Yun-seok had two hits and three RBIs, while Jang Sung-woo added two hits and two RBIs to lead the offense.
Lotte starter Na Gyun-an took the loss despite a solid outing: four innings, two hits, six strikeouts, four walks and two runs allowed (both unearned).
Lotte drew first blood in the bottom of the first. After Hwang Seong-bin’s hit and steal put runners at first and second with one out, No Jin-hyeok delivered an RBI single to make it 1-0.
KT answered in the top of the third. They loaded the bases on a walk by Choi Won-joon, an error and a hit-by-pitch to An Hyun-min, and Hilliard’s sacrifice fly tied the game at 1-1. KT then took the lead on Jang Sung-woo’s infield groundout, going up 2-1.
Ko Young-pyo held that one-run advantage with steady work. In the top of the fifth, An Hyun-min drew a walk and Hilliard advanced the runner, and Jang Sung-woo’s RBI single extended the lead.
With momentum in hand, KT turned to its bullpen in the sixth. In the top of the seventh, walks to Kim Hyun-su, An Hyun-min and Jang Sung-woo loaded the bases, and Oh Yun-seok’s two-run double pushed the score to 5-1.
Then in the top of the ninth, Jang Sung-woo’s double put a runner at second with two outs. Oh Yun-seok followed with an RBI double and Lee Kang-min added an RBI single, producing two more runs and putting the game out of reach.
Lotte managed a run in the bottom of the ninth on RBI hits by Han Dong-hee and Son Ho-young, but it wasn’t enough to mount a comeback. The game ended with KT victorious, 7-3.
