[Jamsil — Sports Today reporter Kang Tae-gu] KT Wiz manager Lee Kang-cheol said he was pleased after his team opened the season with back-to-back wins.

KT defeated the LG Twins 6-5 on March 29 at Jamsil Baseball Stadium in the 2026 Shinhan SOL Bank KBO League.

With the club’s opening-day win on March 28, KT improved to 2-0, while the Twins are still searching for their first victory of the season.

KT starter So Hyeong-jun worked three innings, allowing seven hits, striking out one, issuing two walks and surrendering three runs before leaving without a decision.

So threw 83 pitches, using three fastballs, five curveballs, 10 changeups, 34 cutters and 31 two-seamers. He topped out at 149 km/h (about 92.6 mph).

After the game, Lee said, \"I know why So Hyeong-jun struggled today, so I expect him to bounce back and show a better performance next time.\"

Although So had an uneven outing, the bullpen settled things down: Kim Min-su delivered 2 1/3 scoreless innings and Jeon Yong-ju added a scoreless inning.

Closer Park Young-hyun — who threw 34 pitches over 1 2/3 innings to record a save in the opener — once again protected the lead and closed out the win.

Lee praised his relief corps, saying, \"Middle relievers like Kim Min-su and Jeon Yong-ju shut things down and set the stage for the win. Park Young-hyun finished with better stuff than yesterday.\"

The offense showed focus as well, collecting 11 hits. Veterans Heo Kyung-min and Kim Sang-su each had three hits. Heo drove in three runs, including a two-run game-tying homer, and played a key role in the victory.

Lee added, \"Our veteran hitters did their jobs when we needed them. Early on, Ahn Hyun-min, Jang Sung-woo and Heo Kyung-min combined for three RBIs and helped set the tone. After we gave up the lead, the players didn’t fold — they stayed locked in. Heo’s tying homer and Kim Hyun-soo’s go-ahead RBI allowed us to win,\" expressing his satisfaction.

Finally, Lee thanked the traveling fans for their enthusiastic support and praised the players for their effort.
