On the 6th, a post on Jepa's social accounts read, "We regret to share this sudden news: Jepa has passed away."
The family said the funeral was held privately, attended only by relatives. They apologized for having to announce the sad news on his behalf and expressed deep gratitude for the kindness he received during his life. The cause of death has not been disclosed.
Jepa was born in 1999 and was 26 years old. He had 620,000 YouTube subscribers and uploaded a new video as recently as the 25th of last month. He was best known for livestreams in which he drank and chatted with fans.
Colleagues said they had been contacted by Jepa's mother and had seen him recently. They described the news as so sudden they are still struggling to process it.
