[EPN Enpinow reporter Ko Nari] On the 28th, MBC’s variety show Hangout with Yoo? upended its set when six cast members arrived in striking, fashion-forward drag.
Hosts Yoo Jae-suk, Haha, Joo Woo-jae and Heo Kyung-hwan were joined by guests Lee Yong-jin and Lalal for a self-styled "Meok-bbae" gathering. The group — which riffed on the phrase “eat and lose” — traded barbs from the start as they hashed out character concepts and nicknames. Lalal surprised everyone by revealing a bold cosmetic tweak, quipping, “I had a rib put in my nose.”
During the nickname round, Haha introduced himself as “Songyi’s mom,” and Yoo Jae-suk immediately fired off playful alternatives like “Yungdeokjeong” and “Yungdeokyokjeong,” setting the room laughing. Heo Kyung-hwan slipped into the role of “Hwani’s mom” for a bit, and Haha deadpanned that the skit felt “a little crude.”
The premise — Meok-bbae — led naturally to a weigh-in. Lalal stepped on the scale and reacted to the reading of 77 kg (about 170 lb). Joo Woo-jae turned the moment into a friendly challenge; Lalal admitted concern about not losing weight but kept filming mukbang clips, which only amplified the laughs.
The roast around Yoo Jae-suk kept coming. Haha teased Yoo by reminding everyone he was the team lead and deadpanned, “Weren’t you caught up in embezzlement before?” Yoo shot back, “I went in with your husband,” and the quick exchanges sent the room into more laughter.
On their street-food tour, Joo Woo-jae did an impression of singer Kim Jang-hoon and belted out a tune, while Lee Yong-jin showed off his dancing. Haha secretly ordered beer and soju for the staff during the meal, which cracked up the table, and his preoccupation with “zero-calorie” drinks drew additional attention.
The banter never let up at the table. Joo Woo-jae and Heo Kyung-hwan praised Lalal’s mukbang chops as Lalal continued to savor every bite. Heo also playfully teased Joo Woo-jae about his slim frame.
By the end of the meal Lalal’s weight had risen to 79.9 kg (about 176.2 lb), prompting Heo to joke, “Now it’s 80 kg,” keeping the mood light. Lalal suggested grabbing coffee afterward but couldn’t resist market snacks, wavering at each treat and prompting fresh laughs.
