[SPOTV News reporter Jung Hye-won] KBS's music program "Music Bank" is scheduled to stage a live show on the outdoor stage at the National Museum of Korea.
On the 7th, KBS President Park Jang-beom and National Museum Director Yoo Hong-jun signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at ensuring the success of the Public Broadcasters International (PBI) summit and promoting Korean cultural heritage abroad. As part of the agreement, they announced that "Music Bank" will be presented in the museum's outdoor space.
The two organizations will co-curate a special exhibition that draws on KBS's unique 1.11‑million‑hour broadcast archive. They also plan to collaborate on limited-edition souvenirs for the PBI Seoul Summit, inspired by the museum's popular merchandise.
Yoo said, "Providing the nation with a way to appreciate the meaning behind the National Museum's collections through public broadcasting is the most effective means for our museum to reach the public." He added that he was pleased to sign the MOU.
Park characterized culture as the heart and source of the Korean Wave and said the National Museum houses that cultural essence. He expressed optimism that the free "Music Bank" concert at the museum will draw large numbers of visitors.
