Lim Chang-jung recalled how appearing on Geumchon House People launched him to top-star status.
On the March 30 broadcast of tvN STORY's Why Leave It Behind?, main cast members Lee Young-ja, Jung Sun-hee and Lim Chang-jung returned to the original filming location of Geumchon House People.
Lim said, "When I appeared on Geumchon House People, my song hadn't been released yet. Two weeks later the single came out, and three weeks after that the movie Beat premiered. We had filmed the movie a year earlier and already finished the album. Geumchon House People was the last project to be confirmed, but after the show aired once and we went to record, the whole neighborhood came to a standstill."
He recalled, "Students in their school uniforms were lining the streets. My boss and I went out without thinking, and we were swallowed by the crowd — passersby ended up helping us."
"Two weeks after the broadcast the single 'Once Again' was released and Beat opened," he continued. Jung Sun-hee chimed in, "Your popularity shot up almost overnight. We didn't know how to handle it."
Lim added, "I went from living in a semi-basement to waking up in a hotel suite. My boss was carrying me around."
