On the 23rd, BMW Korea said the iX3's exterior introduces the automaker's new design language: a vertical kidney grille, futuristic twin headlights and finely articulated light strips. A sleek silhouette and BMW SAV proportions combine to give the iX3 a distinctive road presence.
Inside, BMW has fashioned a modern, driver-focused cabin that blends enhanced digital features with ergonomic design. At the center is BMW's first production implementation of the BMW Panoramic iDrive. The system pairs BMW Panoramic Vision with a 3D head-up display, a free-cut central display and a redesigned steering wheel to reduce eye movement and deliver intuitive controls.
The iX3 introduces four new "superbrains" that provide about 20 times the processing power of the previous architecture, consolidating control over driving dynamics, driver assistance, infotainment and vehicle systems. Notably, the drivetrain and performance manager dubbed the "Heart of Joy" coordinates acceleration, steering, braking and suspension to sharpen driving refinement.
The sixth-generation BMW eDrive is also on board. Built on an 800V high-voltage architecture, the iX3 can travel up to 805 km (about 500 miles) on the WLTP cycle, and a 400 kW DC fast charge can add roughly 372 km (about 231 miles) of range in 10 minutes.
The single 50 xDrive powertrain delivers 469 hp and 65.8 kg·m (about 645 Nm / 476 lb-ft) of torque, and the vehicle accelerates from 0–100 km/h (0–62 mph) in 4.9 seconds. Prices are set between KRW 86,900,000 and KRW 91,900,000 (approximately USD 65,175–68,925), with a planned launch in the third quarter.
CEO Han Sang-yoon said, "We believe the rapid uptake reflects Korea's trend sensitivity and early acceptance of new technology combined with the iX3's innovations. With the upcoming New BMW i3 and other models that apply Neue Klasse technology, BMW will offer a clear vision to customers who prioritize breakthrough digital experiences, next-level technology and sustainable value."
