[MyDaily = Reporter Lee Jung-min] Actor Ryu Seung-ryong offered heartfelt remarks after winning the TV Grand Prize at the Baeksang Arts Awards.
On May 10, Ryu posted on his social media: \"What keeps someone going isn't something distant or grand. Maybe it's a single warm, sincere phrase—'I'm sorry,' 'Thank you,' 'It's okay,' 'I love you,' or 'That can happen.'\"
He added, \"Within the everyday certainties we all take for granted, we can empathize, forgive, find courage, and become gifts to one another.\"
Ryu went on to thank his colleagues and the audience: \"I sincerely thank everyone who joined the project, and the viewers who didn't turn away from Manager Kim's journey of failure and, with their warm and thoughtful responses, became a gift to us.\"
He left a lingering note by quoting lines from the drama: \"You did well, Manager Kim,\" \"I'm sorry,\" \"What's there to be sorry for?\" and \"Naksu, be happy.\"
The photos released with his post show Ryu smiling broadly backstage at the 62nd Baeksang Arts Awards while holding his trophy.
Ryu won the TV Grand Prize on May 8 at the 62nd Baeksang Arts Awards, held at COEX Hall D in Gangnam, Seoul, for the JTBC drama The Story of Manager Kim, a Seoul homeowner who works at a major corporation. On the same night, Yoo Hae-jin received the film Grand Prize.
