[Point Economy] Hapcheon County in South Gyeongsang Province said it held a busking performance on April 22 at the Daeya-ju Hope Garden as part of the 2026 Culture Day program selected by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
On April 23, county officials said the program was designed to let residents encounter culture naturally in their daily lives. The performance was scheduled during lunch so workers and visitors could enjoy it without feeling burdened.
Onstage, singers Lee Hyun-ju and Sa Pil-seong delivered pop songs and emotive live sets that drew sustained applause from the audience.
The outdoor garden show, staged on a small platform but delivering a big emotional impact, offered attendees a brief, restorative break from their busy routines.
\"It was great to enjoy such a high-quality performance up close during lunch,\" one attendee said. \"I hope these cultural programs continue regularly.\"
A Hapcheon County official said the county will continue presenting a variety of performances so residents can more easily access arts and culture through the Culture Day program. The county plans to hold events on the first and third Wednesdays of each month to expand opportunities for residents to enjoy culture.
