[Sports Today reporter Kang Tae-gu] SSG Landers pulled off a walk-off comeback against the NC Dinos.

SSG beat NC 7-6 in the 2026 Shinhan SOL KBO League home game at Incheon SSG Landers Field on May 6.

The win snapped SSG’s three-game losing streak and moved them to 18-1-13, keeping them in third place. NC fell to 14-1-17 and remained sixth.

Starter Kim Geon-woo left without a decision after 5.1 innings, allowing four hits (three homers), striking out four, walking two and surrendering four runs.

Jeong Jun-jae finished the game as the hero with the walk-off hit that completed the comeback.

In his KBO return, NC starter Riley Thompson also departed without a decision after five innings, giving up four hits (three homers), striking out four, walking one and allowing four runs.

SSG struck first with the long ball. In the bottom of the first, after Jeong drew a walk and there was one out and a runner at first, Choi Jeong jumped on Riley’s 132km/h forkball and launched a two-run shot to left-center.

NC answered right away. In the top of the second, with two outs and a runner on first after Park Geon-woo took a walk, Kim Hyung-jun crushed Kim Geon-woo’s first pitch 130km/h changeup into left-center for a two-run homer that tied the game.

NC’s offense then took control. In the top of the fourth, leadoff hitter Davidson drove Kim Geon-woo’s 145km/h fastball for a go-ahead solo shot, and later in the inning Lee Woo-seong added another run on a 144km/h heater to push NC ahead 4-2.

SSG answered with power. In the bottom of the fourth, with one out and no one on, Ryu Hyo-seung hit a solo homer off Riley, and Oh Tae-gon followed with a back-to-back homer to even the score at 4-4.

SSG took the lead again in the bottom of the seventh. Choi Jun-woo doubled, Jo Hyung-woo advanced him with a grounder, and after Choi Ji-hoon drew a walk to create a two-out, runners-at-first-and-third situation, Park Sung-han’s RBI single to right put SSG up 5-4.

NC responded in the top of the eighth. Kim Joo-won singled, Han Seok-hyun laid down a successful bunt to produce a one-out, runner-at-second opportunity, and Park Min-woo ripped a game-tying double to center.

Park then swiped third. Davidson struck out, but Park Geon-woo drew an intentional walk and Lee Woo-seong delivered a go-ahead RBI hit to put NC back in front.

SSG answered with a ninth-inning comeback. In the bottom of the ninth, Kim Jeong-min drew a walk and pinch-runner Hong Dae-in stole second. With two outs and a runner in scoring position, Choi Ji-hoon laced a game-tying RBI single.

Choi then stole second to get into scoring position. After Park Sung-han drew a walk, Jeong Jun-jae ripped a walk-off double off Im Jeong-ho to complete the rally and seal the 7-6 victory.
