Kiwoom DRX snapped a five-game losing streak with a win over Nongshim RedForce.

Kiwoom beat Nongshim 2–0 on the afternoon of May 2 at the LCK Arena in Grand Seoul, Jongno-gu. The victory moved Kiwoom to 3–7 on the season (game differential -8). Nongshim dropped its fourth straight match and fell to 4–6 (-4).

Kiwoom seized control early. In the opening moments of Game 1, Willer (Kim Jeong-hyun) ganked on Jarvan IV and picked off Scout’s (Lee Ye-chan) Anivia. Kiwoom dominated the Chemtech Dragon fight and then pressured bottom river at 17 minutes, overwhelming their opponents. They sent the Rift Herald to finish off Nongshim’s mid tier-two tower and secured the Cloud Drake soul.

After a decisive mid fight at the 24-minute mark, Kiwoom pushed down Nongshim’s top structure. With momentum secured, they pressured bottom, cleared Nongshim’s remaining defenders and closed out Game 1, taking a 1–0 lead.

In Game 2, Willer’s Xin Zhao stole the Cloud Dragon early. Kiwoom won the 13-minute bottom skirmish and again outmatched Nongshim’s forces near the top Razorbeak camp.

Kiwoom won a mid fight at 20 minutes but then lost a contested objective fight at 27. Still, Ucal (Son Woo-hyun)’s Annie picked off RihenZ (Son Si-woo)’s Milio, and Kiwoom dominated a major mid skirmish at 32 minutes. After taking the Hextech Dragon, Kiwoom won the ensuing fights around Baron and mid to seal the match.
