On March 16, the club said it signed an official equipment sponsorship with global premium sports brand SPYDER Korea, becoming the franchise’s first-ever partner since its founding.
Under the agreement, SPYDER Korea will supply uniforms, training apparel and other gear to Sono for two seasons, covering the upcoming campaign through the 2027–28 season.
The deal is more than a standard kit sponsorship. Sono and SPYDER Korea plan to collaborate to raise the overall profile of the basketball industry and broaden their marketing footprint.
SPYDER Korea will provide ergonomically engineered game and training kits designed specifically for the demands of high-intensity basketball.
The club will also release official merchandise and special-edition apparel that reflect its identity while highlighting SPYDER Korea’s signature technologies, offering fans a distinctive brand experience.
A Sono representative said, \"We're thrilled to partner with SPYDER, a global leader in the sports market. SPYDER’s premium gear will be a major asset in improving our players’ performance.\"
Beyond team sponsorship, Sono and SPYDER Korea will work together on strategic initiatives, sharing performance solutions tailored to youth development stages and jointly planning mid- to long-term projects to grow the grassroots game and identify young talent.
To strengthen fan engagement, the club plans lifestyle marketing that blends its own culture with SPYDER’s aesthetic, building a familiar, powerful brand connection across its home region.
A SPYDER Korea representative said, \"We’re honored to partner with Sono, a club with deep passion for basketball. Starting in the 2026–27 season, we’ll introduce new uniforms and roll out joint marketing initiatives to bring the most innovative, impactful brand to Korean basketball fans.\"
Meanwhile, on the 15th, Sono defeated Seoul Samsung 98–75 at Goyang Sono Arena, extending its regular-season winning streak to seven games and its home streak to eight. The victory moved Sono into a tie for fifth place with Busan KCC and brought the club one step closer to qualifying for the playoffs for the first time in franchise history.
