LG and NC played to a 5-5 draw on March 13 at Masan Baseball Stadium in Changwon in a 2026 Shinhan SOL Bank KBO League exhibition game.
Exhibition games do not use extra innings. LG closed the two-game slate with a win and a tie (1-0-1), while NC finished 0-1-1.
For LG, Cheon Seong-ho collected two hits and two RBIs, and Lee Ju-heon hit a solo homer. On the mound, starter Tolhurst was effective — four innings, three hits, four strikeouts and one run allowed. Kim Jin-seong and Jo Gun-hee each tossed a scoreless inning in relief.
For NC, Kim Hwi-jip belted a solo home run, and starter Shin Min-hyeok worked four innings, giving up one hit, one walk and one run.
NC drew first blood. In the bottom of the second, leadoff hitter Kim Hwi-jip jumped on Tolhurst’s first pitch and launched a solo shot.
LG answered in the top of the third. With one out, Lee Ju-heon tied the game with a solo home run to make it 1-1, a score that held for a stretch.
LG turned the tide in the top of the sixth. After a walk by Lee Jae-won, a single by Cheon Seong-ho and a walk to Hong Chang-gi loaded the bases with nobody out. Austin hit into a double play, but the runner from third scored, putting LG up 2-1. A wild pitch extended the lead to 3-1.
LG pushed the advantage further in the top of the seventh. After a hit by Oh Ji-hwan and walks to Lee Young-bin and Lee Ju-heon loaded the bases with two outs, Cheon Seong-ho ripped a two-run single to make it 5-1.
NC answered back. In the bottom of the seventh, Shin Jae-in’s hit and Park Si-won’s double produced a run. In the eighth, a leadoff walk to Ko Jun-hwi, a pinch-run and a steal by Heo Yun, and a groundout by Cheon Jae-hwan brought in another run.
NC carried momentum late. After an LG error and a Yun Joon-hyuk steal left one out with a runner on second, Oh Jang-han delivered an RBI single. Shin Jae-in followed with another RBI single to knot the game at 5-5.
Both clubs looked for a walk-off in the ninth, but neither could push across a run. The exhibition ended in a 5-5 tie.
