[Sports Today reporter Lee Sang-pil] Incheon striker Mugosa was named the Hana Bank K League 1 2026 Round 6 MVP.

On the 7th, the Korea Professional Football League announced its Round 6 awards, naming the MVP, Best XI, Best Match and Best Team for K League 1.

Mugosa claimed the MVP after a decisive performance.

On the 5th at Incheon Football Stadium, Mugosa scored twice to lead Incheon to a 2-1 win over Gimcheon. In the 10th minute, he finished smartly from a Lee Myung-joo pass, lofting the ball over the goalkeeper for the opener. He then converted a penalty just before halftime to seal the result.

The league also selected Incheon vs. Gimcheon as the K League 1 Round 6 Best Match. Incheon led 2-0 thanks to Mugosa, but Gimcheon’s Ko Jae-hyun pulled one back 11 minutes into the second half, tightening the contest. Gimcheon pushed forward with Yun Jae-seok and Hong Yun-sang, but their efforts went narrowly wide. Incheon threatened through Oh Hu-seong and Jerso, only to be denied by Gimcheon keeper Baek Jong-beom, and the match finished 2-1 in Incheon’s favor.

Gangwon was named the K League 1 Round 6 Best Team. On the 4th at Gangneung High1 Arena, Kang Tu-ji, Mo Jae-hyun and Lee Yoo-hyun all scored as Gangwon routed Gwangju 3-0, earning the club’s first win of the season.

In K League 2, Chungnam Asan’s Kim Jong-min took Round 6 MVP honors.

Kim entered as a substitute in the match at Ansan Wa Stadium on the 5th with his team trailing 0-1 and produced two goals. Thirty-two minutes into the second half, he chested down a pass from Kim Hye-seong and fired a powerful one-touch finish to level the game. In a scramble just before full time, he shrugged off defenders and calmly slotted a left-footed strike to complete a 3-1 comeback.

The K League 2 Round 6 Best Match was the wild 3-3 draw between Daegu and Gimpo at Daegu iM Bank Park on the 5th. Gimpo’s Dizawma opened with a header in the 10th minute and Daegu’s Kim Kang-san equalized in the 23rd. In the second half, Seraphim and Gimpo’s Luis traded goals to make it 2-2, and Edgar nodded Daegu ahead in the 79th minute. But Luis produced a brilliant one-touch volley in stoppage time to level the score, and the match ended 3-3.

Seoul E-Land earned K League 2 Round 6 Best Team honors. On the 4th at Suwon Sports Complex, Seoul E-Land beat Suwon FC 3-0, with goals from Lee Joo-hyuk, Osmar and Park Jae-yong, marking the club’s first back-to-back league wins of the season.
