[Sports Today reporter Shin Seo-young] Daegu’s Korea Gas Corporation pulled off a dramatic comeback in KBL action.

Korea Gas edged Goyang Sono 78-76 in a 2025-2026 LG Electronics Pro Basketball regular-season game at Daegu Gymnasium on April 2.

The win snapped a four-game skid for Korea Gas, which improved to 16-36 and moved past Seoul Samsung (15-36) into sole possession of ninth place.

Sono fell to 27-25 and dropped into a tie for fifth with Busan KCC.

Bellangel paced Korea Gas with a team-high 26 points and emerged as the decisive playmaker down the stretch. Ra Gun-ah posted a 22-point, 13-rebound double-double, and Kim Min-gyu finished with 15 points and seven rebounds, including the free throws that ultimately decided the game.

For Sono, Lee Jung-hyun scored 18 and Knight added 16, but their efforts weren’t enough.

Sono dominated the first half, closing it with a 50-30 lead behind contributions from Lee Jung-hyun, Kembao and Knight.

Korea Gas mounted its rally in the third quarter. Trailing 32-53, Bellangel hit a 3-pointer and followed with a two-point basket to ignite the comeback, and Jung Seong-woo’s outside shot cut the deficit to 40-53.

With 2:37 left in the quarter, Jung Seong-woo drained another 3, and at 2:08 Ra Gun-ah’s long ball made it 52-56 — down to four.

Sono regained composure late in the quarter. At 59-53, Im Dong-seop scored in the paint to stem the run, and with three seconds left Lee Jae-do’s 3-pointer pushed the lead back to 64-53, sending Sono into the fourth with a double-digit cushion.

But Korea Gas finished stronger. In the fourth quarter, Kim Min-gyu and Yang Jae-hyuk hit consecutive 3s to spark the rally, and Ra Gun-ah continued to apply pressure inside to narrow the gap.

Down 68-76, Korea Gas went on a 5-0 run that began with a Kim Jun-il free throw, followed by a basket from Ra Gun-ah and two free throws by Bellangel, cutting the score to 73-76.

With 1:11 remaining, Ra Gun-ah’s basket made it 75-76. Then, with six seconds left, Kim Min-gyu drew three free throws on Kembao and calmly sank all three to complete the 78-76 comeback and seal a dramatic victory for Korea Gas.
