The Doosan Bears shut out the Samsung Lions 4-0 on the 29th at Jamsil Baseball Stadium in a 2026 Shinhan SOL KBO League game. Call-up An Jae-seok delivered a multi-hit performance that included a home run and made several standout defensive plays, while starter Jack Log worked six scoreless innings.
After the game, Kim lauded his pitching staff. “Starter Jack Log handled six clean innings and set the tone early. Kim Jung-woo, Yang Jae-hoon and Lee Young-ha came in and each fulfilled their roles,” he said.
He reserved praise for the offense as well. “It wasn’t just the runs; I want to commend how they manufactured them. Kim Min-seok’s go-ahead hit and Cameron’s timely work with runners in scoring position were key,” Kim added.
Kim also singled out An Jae-seok, the game’s standout. “I was as pleased with his defense as I was with his multi-hit return, including the homer. I hope he builds on that momentum,” he said.
Jamsil drew a crowd of 23,750, marking the eighth straight sellout at the stadium and tying the all-time consecutive sellout record. The roar from Doosan’s supporters—the team’s so-called 10th player—was thunderous.
Kim expressed his gratitude to the fans: “We’re always thankful for the cheers that helped us tie the consecutive sellout mark. The players feed off the nonstop support that brings people back to the ballpark,” he said, acknowledging the fans’ role in the victory.
Doosan’s recent results hadn’t been ideal, yet the fans stayed loyal. Even their criticisms carried affection, and their cheers never faded. That support reached the players and Manager Kim, and it helped deliver a polished win.
