Installs ceiling-mounted TrackMan iO…gives residents precise, data-driven practice indoors

TrackMan is a high-end system used on the PGA Tour and other top international circuits. By combining radar and high-speed cameras with advanced measurement technology, it captures ball distance, trajectory, launch angle and spin as well as clubhead speed, swing path and face angle with pinpoint accuracy. That lets residents review shot outcomes in detail and analyze swings scientifically, enabling structured, performance-driven practice.
Beyond tour use, TrackMan is a staple at pro training facilities, golf academies and club-fitting centers. Recently, premium hotels and leisure venues have begun adding the system, expanding its footprint beyond commercial and professional settings. This marks the first time it’s been installed inside a residential apartment community in Korea.
The facility will feature the TrackMan iO model optimized for indoor use. Ceiling-mounted to avoid interfering with movement, TrackMan iO improves space efficiency and safety. It fuses radar, infrared sensors and high-speed imaging to deliver real-time 3D spin and spin-axis data, providing accurate analysis even at the short shot distances typical of indoor environments.
As buyers prioritize lifestyle, on-site amenities have become a deciding factor. Indoor sports and hobby spaces are now central to resident satisfaction, and developments that offer premium equipment and specialized facilities tend to command higher market value and competitive appeal.
Hanwha Forena Jeju EduCity aims to set a new standard in Jeju’s residential market with a differentiated community strategy. Jeju is a leading domestic golf destination with many courses and strong local demand, so the TrackMan lounge is positioned as a facility that combines resident convenience with regional character.
A sales official said, “By introducing the country’s first TrackMan indoor lounge in an apartment complex, we plan to give residents a distinctive experience and raise satisfaction. Residents will be able to practice golf with professional, data-driven tools and enjoy premium leisure on-site regardless of weather or time.”
The TrackMan lounge will be housed in the complex’s golf training center, which will also include a screen-golf facility for resident convenience. The development already operates a wide range of community amenities—book house (small library), study rooms, reading room, studio, guesthouse, wellness center with GX room, and coin laundry—and provides tailored infrastructure with a preschool (daycare) and a senior clubhouse (community center).
Hanwha Forena Jeju EduCity comprises 29 buildings ranging from one basement to five above ground floors, offering 503 units with private areas from 84 to 210 m² (about 904–2,260 sq ft), covering mid- to large-size layouts. Landscaped space spans roughly 10,000 pyeong (about 33,058 m²), roughly 40% of the site, and the complex is designed as a park-style community with no surface-level vehicle traffic. The site includes a roughly 1.6 km (about 1.0 mile) walking trail with varied plantings and themed spaces to enhance the living environment. Parking averages 1.92 spaces per household (legal standard: 1.05), improving convenience for residents.
Convenience extends to local amenities. Residents can easily access natural attractions—Jeju Gotjawal Provincial Park, Shinhwa History Park and Sagye Coast—and nearby leisure courses such as Blackstone CC and Teddy Valley CC. The development is also within easy driving distance of English Education City’s central commercial facilities, duty-free shopping, Jeju Shinhwa World and Daejeong Hanaro Mart.
The complex sits about a five-minute drive from Jeju English Education City, offering a practical environment for families and students. A regular shuttle service will support student commutes and provide efficient transport for teachers and staff.
Jeju English Education City hosts top international schools, including Korea International School Jeju (KIS), North London Collegiate School Jeju (NLCS), Branksome Hall Asia (BHA) and St. Johnsbury Academy Jeju (SJA). Fulton Science Academy Ashton (FSAA), the fifth international school, is scheduled to begin construction this spring with a target opening in 2028.
Authorities recently completed expansion and paving work on Provincial Route 17, linking Sinpyeong to Jeju English Education City, and construction is underway to widen and pave the development’s second access road into a four-lane route. Those projects are expected to further improve access to the English Education City and Daejeong-eup.
