Daejeon Hana Citizen will be hunting for their first home win as momentum builds.
Daejeon host Incheon United in Round 12 of the 2026 Hana Bank K League 1 at Daejeon World Cup Stadium on May 5 at 4:30 p.m. The club sits fifth with 15 points (4 wins, 3 draws, 4 losses).
Their recent form is clear-cut.
After a 4-1 victory on the road at Ulsan, Daejeon ripped Gwangju apart 5-0 to register their first back-to-back wins of the season. An attack that had produced just seven goals across nine matches suddenly came alive, scoring nine times in the last two games. It's also encouraging that scorers have been balanced across the frontline, with Diogo, Jeong Jae-hee and Ju Min-kyu all chipping in.
Still, home form remains a concern. All four of Daejeon’s wins this season have come away from home; at Daejeon Stadium they are 0-2-3 in five matches, with just two goals scored and six conceded — a stark contrast to their road results.
Coach Hwang Sun-hong has repeatedly underlined the point: "To be a top team, we must win at home."
With Children's Day (May 5) expected to draw a large crowd, the Incheon game could be the turning point that shifts the club’s trajectory.
Incheon have been steady, going 2-1-2 in their last five matches. Daejeon have beaten Incheon in each of their last three meetings and earned their first win of the season with a 3-1 victory at Incheon.
All eyes will be on whether Daejeon can finally get that elusive home win and extend their winning run.
Can Daejeon Hana Citizen Secure Their First Home Win Against Incheon United in K League 1 2026?
