
K League 2 side Busan IPark extended their winning streak to four, trimming leaders Suwon Samsung’s advantage to two points.
On March 29, Busan defeated Chungbuk Cheongju 2-1 in Round 5 of the 2026 Hana Bank K League 2 at Cheongju Sports Complex.
After opening the season with a 1-1 draw against Seongnam FC, Busan has rattled off victories over Ansan Greeners (3-1), Seoul E-Land (3-2), Daegu FC (3-1) and Chungbuk Cheongju (2-1) to build momentum.
Second-place Busan now sit on four wins and one draw (13 points), closing the gap on top-ranked Suwon Samsung—who remain perfect at five wins from five (15 points)—to two points.
In the 43rd minute of the first half, Gabriel collected a pass from Kim Chan on the right flank and curled a precise left-footed shot into the net to break the deadlock.
Early in the second half, goalkeeper Koo Sang-min kept Busan in front by saving Garcia’s penalty in the 60th minute, but Busan conceded in the 81st minute when Irakli turned and fired home to level the match.
Busan responded quickly. Six minutes after conceding, Baek Ga-on reacted to a scramble in the box and calmly slotted a loose ball home in the 87th minute to restore the lead and ultimately decide the game.
From there, Busan stood firm, absorbing late pressure from Chungbuk Cheongju to complete the four-game winning run.

Also on the 29th, Suwon FC edged Paju Frontier FC 2-1 at Suwon Sports Complex.
All three goals in that match arrived from the penalty spot.
Suwon FC’s Willian converted two spot-kicks, in the 5th and 33rd minutes, while Paju’s Borja got his third of the season from the penalty spot in the 21st minute.
With a game in hand, Suwon FC sit third with four wins from four (12 points).
Paju, whose three-game winning streak was snapped, sit seventh with two wins and three losses (6 points).
Seoul E-Land picked up a 3-1 road win over Daegu FC.
Seoul E-Land moved to fifth with two wins, one draw and two losses (7 points), while Daegu sit fourth with three wins and two losses (6 points).
Seoul E-Land opened the scoring in the 13th minute when Kim O-gyu nodded the ball down and Kang Hyun-je controlled before firing home.
Daegu answered through Kim Ju-gong in the 21st minute, but Aideal put Seoul back ahead in the 28th to make it 2-1 at halftime.
Daegu pressed hard after the break but struggled to find a way through. Edgar’s header appeared to level the game, but VAR ruled the goal out for goalkeeper charging.
As Daegu pushed men forward chasing an equalizer, Seoul E-Land sealed the result when Baek Ji-woong added an insurance goal in the 45+9th minute, closing out a 3-1 victory.
