[MyDaily = Reporter Park Rosa] Sistar member Soyou revealed she’s been cutting back on food to lose weight.
On the 28th, the YouTube channel 'Tzuyang' posted a video titled 'Soyou and Songju: Taking on the Ultimate Spicy Naengmyeon Challenge.'
In the clip, Soyou and Tzuyang attempt an ultra-spicy naengmyeon challenge. Soyou said she’s never eaten at the restaurant in person but often ordered it for delivery. She added that she used to handle spicy food well, but now she’s dieting.
She also joked that she usually eats like a bird, but today she’d try to eat more — a hint at how strictly she’s been managing her diet.
Soyou has previously said she lost 20 kg (about 44 lb) through diet control. Recently, DinDin commented on his YouTube channel that Soyou has slimmed down dramatically — the thinnest he’s seen her, even thinner than during her Sistar days.
Soyou explained she had to give up a lot. She loves working out and staying healthy, but when her weight plateaued she decided to intentionally reduce muscle mass, and her weight then dropped sharply. Even while eating well, she went down to 48 kg (about 106 lb), she said.
