[CBC News] Myeongga Tongdak, a popular fried-chicken brand, has introduced a new menu item called 'WingBong' that spotlights specialty wing cuts.
The offering features only the wing and the lower wing—the drumette. These cuts are prized for their higher meat-to-bone ratio and a satisfying, tender bite.
The company says the pieces are cooked for a crispy exterior and juicy interior, and finished with distinct seasonings and sauces to differentiate them from its existing lineup.
Myeongga Tongdak previewed WingBong at a franchise expo last April, sampling it for visitors and deciding on a full release after gauging positive reactions.
