Changwon City Rural Revitalization Support Center said it held the 'First Produce-Use Workshop' on the 13th to energize resident-led community initiatives and boost the value of local farm products.

The four-session program runs through the 22nd at the Daesan Nanum Cultural Center and involves members of the Daesan Nanum Cooperative.

The workshop, led by Professor Jang Seong-hee from Masan University's Hotel & Tourism Barista Department, focused on Daesan-myeon's specialty crop—carrots. Hands-on sessions covered testing carrot-based recipes, adjusting beverage sweetness and flavor balance, taste-testing to finalize recipes, and beverage styling and plating.

Acting Center Director Lee Hee-il said the cafe menu development course centered on local ingredients will strengthen the cooperative’s practical management skills and help build a self-sustaining, community-rooted operating model.
