[CBC News] Elegant Youths (CEO Kwon Oh-joong) announced on April 28 that on April 24 it hosted an in-person rider care program called "B Mart Drive-Thru" for Baemin Connect riders at the Baemin B Mart Gwanak-Sillim store in Seoul's Gwanak district.
B Mart Drive-Thru is a hands-on support program that lets riders stop by Baemin B Mart during deliveries to grab snacks and take a quick break. It builds on past coffee truck events by aligning support with riders' delivery routes and was created in response to feedback received through the newly launched two-way channel, "Voice Lounge."
The event was held in Gwanak-gu, which topped the March "Coffee Truck Desired Area" vote with 12% of votes. Organizers used a drive-thru setup so riders could pick up snacks without detouring from their order pickup routes.
The day's offering—a beverage (coffee or iced tea) paired with a sandwich—was chosen based on a pre-event demand survey. About 67% of respondents said they preferred ready-to-eat options, and the prepared supplies sold out early.
Roughly 400 riders participated over a three-hour period. On site, many riders said the unexpected perk gave them a much-needed boost during their shifts.
A company spokesperson said the event was held in an area selected directly by riders and shaped by their on-the-ground feedback, adding that the company plans to continue expanding high-impact, communication-driven support measures.
