[EPN NPinow Reporter Go Nari] On KBS 2TV’s The Boss’s Ears Are Donkey Ears, former baseball star Yang Jun-hyuk lays out a seafood business plan aimed at reaching annual sales of 30 billion KRW (about 22.5 million USD).

In the program’s 350th episode, airing on the 29th, Yang tours a large seafood distributor that handles roughly 7 metric tons of product a day to sharpen his business strategy.

Currently recording annual sales of 3 billion KRW (about 2.25 million USD), Yang inspects logistics for more than 100 varieties of seafood at Daejeon’s largest distributor and maps out branch locations and projected budgets in detail — a clear sign of his expansion ambitions.

He was told that a water truck, a key piece of equipment, would cost about 300 million KRW (around 225,000 USD). “I’ll finance it with a loan,” he said confidently. Park Myung-soo quipped, “You should get your wife’s permission first,” drawing laughter on set.

Cho Hyun-ah answered Yang’s plan with an investment idea, suggesting a water-truck rental service. Yang immediately offered, “I’ll make you the Seoul branch manager,” earning applause.

Park Myung-soo then volunteered, “Give the Gunsan branch to me,” which lightened the mood among the cast. Jeon Hyun-moo deadpanned that you can’t appoint branch managers before you even have branches, but the trio’s enthusiasm only grew.

The Boss’s Ears Are Donkey Ears offers weekly glimpses into the workplaces of bosses across South Korea, encouraging moments of self-reflection. The show has held the top spot in its time slot for 198 consecutive weeks.

Viewers are curious to see whether Yang’s seafood vision will come to fruition; tune in at 4:40 PM on the 29th for details.
