[Sports Today reporter Lim Si-ryeong] SHINee member Minho revealed that, despite his father being a professional soccer coach, he was never taught how to play by him.

On the April 3 broadcast of MBC's I Live Alone, Minho visited to support his father, who works in the K League.

During the visit, Minho surprised viewers by introducing his father as Choi Yoon-kyum, the head coach of K League 2 side Yongin FC.

Minho went to the stadium where his father coaches, changed into training gear and joined the practice. His father laughed and told him, \"You don't have the lower-body strength to kick the ball well.\"

Since he was already on the field, Minho said he wanted to kick the ball at least once and proposed a challenge: try to hit the goal from the penalty line. He added confidently that it's something he does even when playing pickup games.

Minho admitted that his father never once taught him soccer as a child because he worried Minho might pursue a professional career, and he strongly opposed the idea.

When host Jun Hyun-moo asked if his father had objected to him becoming an idol, Minho replied that he hadn't — as long as it wasn't soccer.
