Lee Beom-soo‘s Shocking Confession on ’My Ugly Duckling': What He Revealed About His Divorce

[TV Daily reporter Kim Jin-seok] Actor Lee Beom-soo is set to appear on SBS's variety show My Ugly Duckling.

The April 5 episode of the program closed with a surprise preview showing Lee living on his own.

In the clip, Lee turns up at his solitary home and winces as he quips, "My least favorite word is 'login.'"

The teaser also captures him running a solo errand at the bank. Lee tells staff he needs cash to pay for parking and asks them to break a 50,000 KRW bill into 1,000 KRW notes — 50,000 KRW (approximately $37.50 USD) — explaining why he stopped by.

Lee also touches on his personal life. He remarried interpreter Lee Yoon-jin in May 2010 and the couple have a daughter and a son. After 14 years of marriage, they entered divorce proceedings; Y-One Entertainment confirmed in March 2024 that the two were undergoing divorce mediation.

In the preview, Lee says, "I had private family matters for two to three years. I didn't want to turn on the TV because it felt sad, painful, and embarrassing. I became completely alone. It was really hard." The candid remarks drew attention and sympathy.
