On the 2nd, the broadcaster posted photos from the Long-Term Love wedding with Eom Ji-yoon to his personal account and shared a lengthy reflection.
He wrote, "The content Long-Term Love is what built the Shortbox channel and made the three of us who we are. I wanted to bring the series to a close in the most meaningful way possible with our subscribers" — explaining why the wedding was staged. He added that some subscribers were even invited as guests, which made the event feel more significant.
Kim addressed viewers directly: "To the subscribers who loved and supported Long-Term Love more than anyone — thank you for helping create this moment. I will remember it for a long time, and we’ll repay you with even better content going forward."
He also thanked the performers and friends who took part: "Thank you to Su-geun, Dong-yong, Sang-hee, Paul Kim, Seung-hwan, Heize, Semi, Lalala, and Boram for making our wedding shine."
He singled out the production team as well: "I sincerely thank our M2 teammates, the Shortbox crew, and all the staff who worked so hard behind the scenes. You all did an amazing job."
Most notably, Kim offered a personal note of gratitude to his real-life wife: "Above all, I want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart to my wife, who supported this event and shared in our joy." That acknowledgment carries added weight, since the staged wedding had previously been misunderstood by some viewers as an actual marriage.
Meanwhile, Kim and Eom brought the on-screen romance that had run for more than seven years on Long-Term Love to a close.
