K-Pop Star Lee Hwi-jae‘s Twins Enter Middle School: A Father’s Emotional Journey

[JoyNews24 Reporter Lee Ji-young] TV personality Lee Hwi-jae revealed that his twin sons, Seo-eon and Seo-jun, have started middle school.

On the 28th, KBS2 aired an episode of Immortal Songs titled "2026 Entertainment King of Kings."

That day, host Shin Dong-yup asked, "Are Seo-eon and Seo-jun in middle school now?" Lee replied, "They're in the first year of middle school," and shared an update on their lives.

Lee added, "They're finally at an age where they understand exactly what I do as their dad. When they were little, they didn't know — they thought I was a dad who just kept going out to exercise. Over the past four years they've learned that I had to take time off because of my mistakes. They don't say it out loud, but they wrote me a letter," he said, choking up.

Shin asked, "Did they comfort you in the letter and tell you to stay strong?" Lee, holding back tears, replied, "They wrote that they hope I can work again."

Shin then wondered if the kids would watch the show and think, "Is our dad a singer?" Lee said, "They know I released an album. When I drive, they sing along. They even brag to their friends, 'My dad released an album.'" Shin quipped, "So they figure your dad did whatever paid the bills back then."
