Jeong Hye-won of SPOTV News reports that J.Y. Park will step down from his role as an executive director at JYP Entertainment.
JYP Entertainment said on the afternoon of the 10th that Park will not seek reappointment as an executive director at the shareholders’ meeting scheduled for March 26.
Park plans to concentrate on creative work as an artist, mentor emerging acts within the company, and take on new external roles aimed at supporting the broader K-pop industry.
Since his debut in 1994, Park has been active as a singer, songwriter and producer, and he remains involved in a range of initiatives across the K-pop sector.
