
[MyDaily = Reporter Seung-gil Lee] Park Jin-young, the iconic figure of JYP Entertainment, will step down from his role as an inside director at the company.
On the 10th, JYP Entertainment announced that Park Jin-young (J.Y. Park) will resign from his position as an inside director.
The company said Park will not seek reappointment at the shareholders’ meeting on March 26. He plans to refocus on creative work as an artist, mentor younger acts and take on new external roles to support the K-pop industry.
JYP also noted that since his 1994 debut, Park has worked as a singer, songwriter and producer, and will continue to pursue initiatives across the K-pop industry.
