[CBC News] The band hrtz.wav (pronounced "Hatsu Wave") channeled the mood of the drama "21st Century Grand Madam" on a music program, leaving a lingering impression.
On May 13, hrtz.wav appeared on MBC M's Show! Champion to debut "You Keep Me Here," the OST from MBC's Friday–Saturday drama "21st Century Grand Madam." The group presented a special stage that blended the performance with key scenes from the series.
Dressed in suits, hrtz.wav performed against projected backdrops of a palace and the Seoul skyline, delivering a quietly evocative set. Vocalist Rian began with a warm, controlled tone over piano and strings, and the arrangement built emotional momentum toward the chorus through nuanced playing.
The OST "You Keep Me Here" is an R&B-pop track anchored by gentle guitar riffs and tasteful rhythms. It underscored a romantic yacht scene between Seong Hee-ju and Prince Ian in the drama and quickly won viewers' hearts.
hrtz.wav released their debut album, The First Wave, in April and plans to stay active. They are slated to perform at several festivals, including the 2026 Busan One Asia Festival with NOL and the 2026 Seoul Park Music Festival in June, Soundberry Festa 26 in July, and the 2026 Sound Planet Festival in September.
