Divorced star Hong Jin-kyung said her younger brother Nam Chang-hee asked her to deliver a congratulatory speech at his wedding — but she declined.

The YouTube channel "Study King Genius Hong Jin-kyung" posted a video on the 12th titled, "Hong Jin-kyung’s younger brother Nam Chang-hee! Exclusive look at an all-time guest-filled wedding (a movie-like wedding story)."
The clip captures Nam Chang-hee's Feb. 22 wedding at Seoul's Shilla Hotel. Hong Jin-kyung arrived and joked that they were holding the ceremony at a very fancy venue.
At the ceremony, Hong greeted a range of guests, including Muzi, Gree, Jo Hye-ryun and the head of Nam’s agency. She also reflected on her own wedding, saying it was held in Apgujeong and that the flower bills were steep.
Hong said Nam originally asked her to give the congratulatory speech. She recalled replying, "Are you crazy? I'm divorced." She added, "I failed at marriage — who am I to give a wedding speech?"
Nam Chang-hee married Yoon Young-kyung on Feb. 22 at the Dynasty Hall of the Shilla Hotel in Jung-gu, Seoul. The couple tied the knot after four and a half years together. Nam’s wife previously worked in the entertainment industry; she made a surprise appearance on MBC’s 2014 variety show Infinite Challenge as the so-called "Hangang IU." She now serves as a public relations officer for the Dongdaemun District Office and appears on the district office’s YouTube channel.
Born in 1977, Hong Jin-kyung debuted in 1993 after winning SBS’s second Supermodel Contest. She finalized her divorce in August of last year after 22 years of marriage. Hong said the split wasn't the result of any one person's fault and that they simply decided to live differently.
