[Sports Today reporter Song O-jung] Comedian Mija addressed a misunderstanding over reports that she and her husband had declared themselves DINKs (dual income, no kids).

On March 25, Mija posted a screenshot of a message she received on her social media account. The fan message read: "This morning I saw the Taehyun–Mija couple's DINK announcement. I felt a little moved. That decision must have been difficult. But I think a marriage-centered household is more important than a couple who raise a child yet live like strangers."

Mija said she was surprised and clarified, "I never officially declared we're DINK."

The confusion began after a March 23 Q&A session. When a fan asked, "Are you planning for a second child?" Mija replied, "Together with Kim Taehyun, our ages easily exceed 90." That remark was widely interpreted as meaning the couple had given up on having another child because of their ages.

After screenshots of articles repeating her remark circulated, Mija explained that she had been answering the same question so often that she simply said they were older. She added, "I'd be happy to have children, but we're already very happy as we are."

Mija, the daughter of actors Jang Gwang and Jeon Seong-ae, is active as a comedian. She married comedian Kim Taehyun, who is six years her senior, in 2022.
