The March 29 episode of MBC's 'Manitto Club' featured Cha's daughter stepping in as his accomplice.
That day, Cha Tae-hyun greeted his daughter Tae-eun with a bright smile when she returned from her after-school class. He asked, \"Did you plan to eat with a friend?\" Tae-eun replied, \"We're doing a diet bet. No malatang.\"
One of Tae-eun's friends also agreed to join the Manitto plan. When Cha explained, \"We need to give another gift — something like a card. It's a fan letter to cheer on Kang Hoon,\" Tae-eun said, \"My friend is really good at that. She even wrote to rapper Vinchen.\"
They drove the friend to a nearby café. Tae-eun said having her friend there made her feel instantly more relaxed. When Cha urged her to call her English academy right away, Tae-eun answered, \"Since it's come to this, I don't want to go.\"
Cha was firm: \"You can't skip it,\" he said, showing his fatherly side. He added, \"After school, you two should deliver it (to Kang Hoon).\" Tae-eun protested that they wouldn't finish their homework, and her friend laughed, \"Just ditch it.\"
Before writing the fan letter to Kang Hoon, Tae-eun asked, \"By the way, what does this person do?\" which drew laughter. Cha replied, \"He's an actor.\" Only then did Tae-eun and her friend remember they'd watched the drama he appeared in, \"The Red Sleeve.\"
Cha Tae-hyun beamed at his daughter's efforts and joked, \"In the end, Dad didn't do anything.\"
