BTS, South Korea’s most widely recognized pop act,

has been buzzing since its March comeback showcase for “Arirang.”

The group quickly launched a world tour,

electrifying ARMYs around the globe.

At the tour’s opening — following the “Arirang” comeback —

the group adopted an all‑black, sleek wardrobe.

Where the earlier concept referenced historic sites such as Gyeongbokgung

and Gwanghwamun and the emotional tone of “Arirang,”

this run leans into a true rock‑chic aesthetic.

Their fashion is attracting attention equal to their performances.

Sturdy yet dynamic all‑black leather jackets

paired with hoodies and long coats,

gave the members a sleek, commanding presence

that dominated the stage.

Fans worldwide took note,

embracing the refined, modern chic the group presented.

For this world tour, the costumes were created by Korean designer Jun Tae Kim.

Kim blends Western tailoring—think corsets and doublets—

with visual elements drawn from Korean history and culture, including

the Taegeukgi (the national flag), the geon‑gon‑gamri motifs (the four trigrams), and hanbok

components—along with taekwondo doboks, sseugae‑chima (a traditional over‑skirt),

norigae pendants, gokkal headdresses and traditional beadwork,

woven into a modern silhouette.

Kim outfitted not only the 7 members

but also completed costumes for 55 dancers.

Once again, the stage was filled with meticulously crafted looks.

After opening the run in Goyang,

BTS heads next to Tokyo.

Fans can expect standout performances—and the costumes that complete them,

especially pieces created through collaborations with Korean designers.

Those partnerships are likely to boost K‑fashion’s profile on the global stage.
