[TV Daily reporter Kim Jin-seok] Wonpil kicked off the final night of his solo concert \"Unpiltered.\" On May 3, Day6's Wonpil performed his solo concert \"Unpiltered\" at the Jamsil Indoor Gymnasium in Songpa-gu, Seoul. Running May 1–3, \"Unpiltered\" marked his first solo run in about four years and two months since his March 2022 concert, \"Filmography.\" All dates sold out during presale, underscoring the strong demand. The title \"Unpiltered\" signals a no-filter presentation of Wonpil: the show emphasized an unvarnished, authentic version of the artist rather than a heavily polished image. Wonpil rose onstage aboard a lift, energized the crowd and opened the set with \"Toxic Love\" and \"I've Become an Adult\" from his first mini album. Addressing fans, Wonpil said, \"I'm back with my second solo concert.\" He added, \"Tonight is the final performance of 'Unpiltered.' I'm really sad. We have to say goodbye to 'Unpiltered' tonight, and I feel the same way.\" He joked that fans might see a new side of him that evening. \"My Day may already know a certain image of me, but that isn't the whole story,\" he said with a laugh. \"I'm a rougher person — I don't always smile or act cute.\" Teasing the remainder of the show, he said, \"We've only done two songs so far. I'll take my time and show you more, one by one.\" [TV Daily reporter Kim Jin-seok news@tvdaily.co.kr/Photo courtesy of JYP Entertainment] |
