[MyDaily = Reporter Kang Da-yoon] Singer Hwanhee stepped out with his mother for the first time in 20 years.

On the April 4 broadcast of KBS2's Men Doing Housework Season 2 (known as 'Sallimnam'), cameras followed 44-year-old single singer Hwanhee — who drew attention after calling himself an \"unfilial son\" — and his 74-year-old mother as they entered the second day of living together.

That day, Hwanhee used a broken toilet as an excuse to get his mother out of the house, saying they needed to stop by a hardware store. In an interview with the production team, his mother said, \"I was surprised when my son suddenly asked me to come along. But I couldn't just refuse. He wanted to join me, so I pretended I couldn't say no and went with him.\"

Hwanhee said he felt elated, as if he'd achieved something. \"I loved just going somewhere with my mom,\" he said. \"When I said, 'Mom, come with me!' she paused for a moment. Even if she says otherwise, I don't think she disliked it,\" he added, clearly proud.

Because his mother had long refused his invitations to go out, the outing became their first mother-and-son trip in nearly 20 years. Watching from the studio, actress Lee Yo-won cheered them on, saying, \"Mothers might say they don't want to, but they actually enjoy it.\"
