On the 22nd, Ulsan and Ulsan Nonghyup held a signing ceremony for the \"Love Goal Wave (GOAL WAVE)\" campaign at Munsu Football Stadium. The event was attended by Ulsan CEO Myungwon Kang, Ulsan Nonghyup Chief Operating Officer Jongsam Lee, Dubuk Nonghyup Chief Sangheon Jeon, and Nongso Nonghyup Branch Manager Taegyo Jeong.
Under the agreement, Ulsan will set aside 10 kg of locally grown rice for every goal the team scores during the 2026 K League 1 season. The accumulated rice will be distributed to low-income households and other vulnerable residents through the Ulsan branch of the Korean Red Cross.
Ulsan's partnership with Ulsan Nonghyup dates back to 2016 with a \"Rice of Love\" sponsorship. For nearly a decade, the cooperative has consistently donated rice, supported home-game giveaways, and participated in community outreach. This year, the initiative was formalized under the \"Goal Wave\" banner so that fans' support and the team's goals translate directly into social contribution.
The club has been electric to start the season, scoring seven goals in four league matches. By the campaign's metric, that already accounts for 70 kg of rice. Yago, the team's current top scorer with four goals, said the program gives him extra motivation. \"Knowing my goals help not only the team but also people in Ulsan makes me feel more responsible,\" he said. \"I'll work to score more so the 'Goal Wave' reaches as many people as possible.\"
A Ulsan Nonghyup representative added that the collaboration both highlights the quality of Ulsan rice and delivers much-needed support to neighbors in need. The cooperative expressed its support for Ulsan HD's continued success and pledged ongoing cooperation.
