SPOTV News — Suwon, Shin Won-chul reporting: The LG Twins snapped a losing streak on April 30, rallying for a 6-5 come-from-behind win over the KT Wiz at Suwon’s KT Wiz Park in the 2026 Shinhan SOL Bank KBO League. The victory prevented what would have been a fourth straight loss on a walk-off.

Trailing 3-5, LG rallied in the eighth inning, scoring the tying and go-ahead runs after two outs. In the ninth, with no outs and runners on first and second, closer Ham Deok-ju escaped the jam and finished the game without allowing a run. Reliever Kim Jin-su earned the win after two scoreless innings in the seventh and eighth.

“We started in a tough atmosphere, but the players’ desire to win created the foundation for this victory,” manager Yeom Kyung-yeop said after the game.

“Im Chan-kyu did his job as the starter, and Kim Jin-su shut down two key innings to earn the win. It was a tough situation, but Ham Deok-ju closed it out and secured the victory,” Yeom added.

Offensively, Yeom said the game had been slipping away, but Park Hae-min’s game-tying hit and Koo Bon-hyuk’s go-ahead RBI gave the club belief it could win. Moon Bo-kyung led the offense with two hits and two RBIs.

Yeom said he hopes the last-day win in April builds momentum heading into May. “This was an important game — a loss today could have set a negative tone for May — so I want to praise the players for showing top-level focus and producing a comeback win,” he said.

“We faced many difficulties and injuries in April, but the veterans rallied and helped lift the team from a .500 record to +7. I sincerely thank and praise the players and coaching staff for that,” Yeom added.

He closed by thanking the fans: “Even though we had some rough moments, the fans stuck with us until the end, and their support helped fuel the comeback. We’re grateful.”
