[EPN NPNOW reporter Yoon Dong-geun] Global soccer fans will turn their attention to Seoul World Cup Stadium on June 6, when Barcelona Legends meet Liverpool Legends.
Barcelona announced the Seoul fixture on its official website. Albert Ferrer will lead the Barcelona Legends in a premium matchup against Liverpool Legends, with kickoff scheduled for 6 p.m. Fans can stream the game live on the club’s YouTube Premium channel.
The Seoul match will be Barcelona Legends’ 12th outing this season. The side has already toured Argentina, Mexico, Nigeria, El Salvador, Costa Rica, the United States, the Dominican Republic and Indonesia. Through 10 matches this season they sit at 6–2–2, and they are scheduled to face Real Madrid Legends in Miami on the 9th of next month.
The Seoul event will feature several players familiar to Korean fans. Andrés Iniesta has returned to the squad, and Carles Puyol, Rivaldo, Javier Saviola and Ludovic Giuly are also listed on the roster.
Notably, Puyol and Rivaldo took part in last year’s "2025 Icon Match: The Return of Creativity, The Start of the Counterattack," so they’ve already played on a Korean stage. Puyol drew loud cheers with a display of grit that recalled a Champions League final.
Also joining Barcelona Legends for the first time are Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba. Both recently played for Inter Miami and will don the Barca Legends jersey in this match. Deco, Barcelona’s sporting director, is also expected to take part.
The meeting promises a fresh chapter in the Barcelona–Liverpool Legends rivalry and gives Korean fans a rare opportunity to see global stars in person.
