[Sports Today reporter Kang Tae-gu] On the 23rd, the Korea Sports Association (President Yoo Seung-min) appointed the fifth class of Integrity Citizen Auditors, a 10-member panel made up of former officials from the Board of Audit and Inspection, the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission, police, and specialists in accounting, tax, labor, and law. The association also unveiled its integrity and anti-corruption plan aimed at strengthening fairness at sporting venues and promoting a more transparent sports culture.

The appointment ceremony and the first advisory meeting were held at 2 p.m. in the Korea Sports Association’s main conference room on the 13th floor of Olympic Hall. President Yoo Seung-min and nine of the Integrity Citizen Auditors attended.

The Integrity Citizen Auditor system began in 2016 as the National Auditor program and has operated for a decade as a preventive mechanism for controlling corruption. For the fifth term, eight auditors from the fourth term were reappointed, and two new experts in law and investigations were added to boost oversight and investigative capabilities in areas vulnerable to corruption.

Over the next two years (March 2026–December 2027), the fifth-term auditors will take part in audits, reviews, and evaluations of the Korea Sports Association and its member organizations.

After the appointment ceremony, participants at the first advisory meeting reviewed the association’s 2026 integrity and anti-corruption agenda and exchanged views on related matters.

President Yoo Seung-min said, "We will actively incorporate the expertise and objective perspectives of private-sector professionals into our audit administration and lead efforts to build a clean, fair sports ecosystem that meets the public’s expectations."
