The Cheongju Sangdang Police Station in North Chungcheong Province (Chungbuk) said on the 15th that it arrested a man in his 50s identified as A on charges of aggravated property damage.
Police allege that around 12 p.m. that day, A used a hammer to smash a neighbor’s front door and glass window at an apartment in Bunpyeong-dong, Sangdang District, Cheongju.
Neighbors notified authorities, and officers arrested A at the scene. He is reported to be suffering from a mental illness.
Police are investigating to determine the exact circumstances.
