The Living Room at Park Hyatt Busan has teamed up with filmmaker Francis Ford Coppola’s winery to introduce Scene of Flavor — a special six-course dinner that pairs cinema-inspired dishes with Coppola wines. It’s designed to fuse film and fine dining into a singular, memorable night out.

Francis Ford Coppola — the director behind The Godfather — also runs a winery known for blending wine with cinematic storytelling. Park Hyatt collaborated with Tim Bodel, executive chef of the winery restaurant Rustic, to craft this six-course, wine-pairing menu. Each dish draws inspiration from Coppola’s most iconic films and is paired with a winery selection.

The tasting opens with Sea Bream Crudo, channeling the youthful energy of The Outsiders with bright yuzu and lemon. An Apocalypse Now–themed barley risotto builds tension with chewy barley, shellfish, and a touch of Chardonnay. A mushroom bisque inspired by Bram Stoker’s Dracula is rich and concentrated. A grilled duck breast nods to The Godfather’s classic tone, balanced by pear and Dijon mustard. A slow-cooked short rib, inspired by Tucker’s adventurous spirit, arrives finished in a Cabernet Sauvignon sauce. Dessert flips expectations: a savory cannoli served with cherries braised in Buccafélos wine to linger on the palate.

The experience includes an optional wine pairing featuring three signature Coppola Winery bottles: Diamond Chardonnay, known for its bright citrus aromas and crisp acidity; Diamond Pinot Noir, offering dark red fruit and a silky mouthfeel; and Directors Cut Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, which brings subtle cocoa and spice notes.

Scene of Flavor runs March 18–31 on the 31st-floor Living Room. Service is available daily from 5:30 PM to 10:00 PM. The six-course menu is ₩120,000 per person (about $90.00), and a three-glass wine pairing is ₩60,000 (about $45.00), tax included. It’s ideal for diners looking for a special, cinematic culinary outing.
