On the 5th episode of JTBC's Please Take Care of My Refrigerator, Son Jong-won beat Sam Kim to claim sole first place.
During the episode, Tiffany sampled Son Jong-won's much-talked-about mint-chocolate rice pudding — the dish viewers were most curious about from his 'LOVE IT' fine-dining menu.
Tiffany praised the aroma—\"The scent is incredible—but the presentation...\" she trailed off, clearly underwhelmed by its appearance. Kim Poong joked, \"You didn't get your inspiration from me, did you?\" Kim Seong-ju and Ahn Jung-hwan chimed in, teasing that the dish looked like chueotang (mudfish soup) or doenjang (soybean paste stew).
Tiffany raved about the taste. \"It's mint-choco, but the rice refines it—giving a sophisticated mint aroma that really pops,\" she said. Hyoyeon agreed, noting that even people who usually dislike mint-choco might be won over by this version.
Tiffany picked Son Jong-won's dish over Sam Kim's, awarded him five stars, and placed him alone at the top. She described the dish as a perfectly balanced performance with distinct first and second acts — so much so that it completely won over her San Francisco palate.
