[TV Daily reporter Lee Ki-eun] Shin Dong-yup singled out Sayuri as a standout talent.

On March 30, Shin Dong-yup’s YouTube channel "Jjanhan Hyung Shin Dong-yup" published interviews updating viewers on the current lives of Sayuri and Kim Kyung-wook (also known as Tanaka).

During the episode, Shin reflected on his career, saying, "Being a comedian is a truly happy job. If I hadn't done this, I think I would have pursued theater."

He also recalled first seeing Sayuri as a guest on a lifestyle program's food segment and thinking, "When I saw her then, I knew she was going to be a hit."

Sayuri credited timing for her early success, explaining, "Because I was a foreigner, people seemed to view me positively. There weren't many foreign personalities on TV back then, and the timing was right. I'm grateful." She attributed her rapid rise to that fortunate timing.

Sayuri, who chose to be a single mother, is raising one son while continuing to work on television and run her YouTube channel.
