Lee Deok-yeon, a cast member of MBN’s reality series Dolsingles 2, surprised viewers by revealing he is dating Han Ye-won, who appeared on the show’s seventh season.
On March 23, the YouTube channel 'Namdarimaek' uploaded a video titled "Namdaemun shopping tips from an overspending fairy who spent 700,000 KRW (approximately 525 USD) + Deok-yeon’s big announcement." That day, Yoon Nam-gi and Lee Da-eun — a couple matched on Dolsingles 2 — met with Lee Deok-yeon and Yoo So-min.
Lee Da-eun opened the segment by saying, "I have good news," then revealed that Deok-yeon was in a relationship. Lee Deok-yeon confirmed, "My partner is Han Ye-won from Dolsingles 7."
Lee Da-eun introduced Han as "Ye-won, who came across as sweet and wholesome on season 7 when I served as a panelist," and explained that a show writer had organized a matchmaking segment. They met at a party tied to that event and struck up a connection.
She added that the pair simply looked very compatible visually, so she told them to "sit together," and that she hadn't done anything beyond that. Yoon Nam-gi recounted a behind-the-scenes detail, saying he was the one who first seated them. He put them next to each other, and then Lee Da-eun — sensing something — stepped away from her role as party MC to urge them to keep talking.
The couple began dating in early January and have been together for less than 100 days. Lee Deok-yeon said he made the first move: a few days later he asked her to dinner, and after meeting a few times they officially started dating.
On Dolsingles 2, Lee Deok-yeon was known as a single dad raising his son on his own. Han Ye-won appeared on season 7 last year and was introduced as a single mother and former army officer.
